- The "Enable Filter" dialog allows the user to specify
-
- exactly what type of Ethernet data to collect. The
-
- dialog has three filtering options:
-
-
-
- * Store all packets: this button disables all
-
- filtering and signals NetMinder Ethernet to
-
- collect all packets on the Ethernet.
-
-
-
- * Store matching packets: this button signals
-
- NetMinder Ethernet to collect an Ethernet
-
- packet if it matches any of the enabled filters.
-
-
-
- * Store non-matching packets: this button signals
-
- NetMinder Ethernet to collect an Ethernet packet
-
- only if it does not match ALL of the enabled
-
- filters. This is commonly referred to as "NOT"
-
- filtering. Note: all forms of filter-based
-
- triggering are disabled if this option is selected.
-
-
-
- The remaining items in the dialog box are check boxes
-
- to enable any or all of the five filters provided by
-
- NetMinder Ethernet.
